Gaps at the top of some lists

CD

I've noticed that, on the new iPhone app, some of my lists have significant gaps ("white space") at the top of them, and the first entry in some lists appears even as far as half-way down the page. The web app is fine. This also occurs to the same lists on my iPad, though, perhaps because of the larger screen, it isn't as obvious.

Hi Cliff,

If you wouldn't mind, could you send a screenshot showing exactly what you are referring too to brendon@doist.io. There are some design choices made on purpose but it could be a bug, the screenshot could help to clarify which it is. :)

Thanks,
Brendon.

Cliff,

They do seem to be an issue. How did you add this information to the notes, cut and paste? Did you add this on the iPhone, or through the web app?

Please try logging out and back in again, to see if that resolves it.

Thanks,
Brendon.

Logged out of web app on my MacBook, and mobile apps on iPhone and iPad. Logged back in, but problem persists on the mobile apps (web app still fine). In answer to your question, I did cut and paste the articles into those lists originally, and I'm "fairly" certain I did so on my MacBook using the web app.

I should mention that I just tried adding new entries at the top of the problem lists, and that seems to have resolved the gap issue temporarily, but as soon as I removed those entires and restored the lists to their original content, the gaps appeared again.

Cliff,

I know this might sound like a useless question, but are you sure your not copying blank spaces when you post that article? I know you say the web app is fine, but so far I have been unable to reproduce this issue.

Are the other tasks/notes without bold? The only you showed has some bold areas, does removing these bold points resolve the issue. Also, are you able to remove the space, if you click before the first word, and delete, does it do anything?

Thanks,
Brendon.

Hi Brendon,

I will send screen shots from my MacBook and iPhone with the list in question shown in edit mode. As you will see, there is no blank space at the top of the list: everything is snug to the top of the editing area.

I also tried un-bolding the bold type in one of the problem lists: no difference, even after syncing. I then tried bolding the first entry of lists where there was no problem: again, no difference, even after syncing.

Cliff,

Thanks for the shots.

I have let the developers know about this and I hope to find a solution to this. I will keep you updated.

Thanks,
Brendon.

Cliff,

This should be fixed in the next update. (6.0.2)

Thanks,
Brendon.
