Refresh Placement - iPad Beta App
Two comments/suggestions: On iPad I'm only finding the refresh option under the cog on the bottom of the left column. Before it was much more conveniently located on top on the face of the app. This was easier, especially since its so frequently used. Also, in one of the previous versions, my app updated automatically each time I opened it. It took a few seconds for it to happen, but it did it on its own. That was a great convenience factor. Looks great, and am enjoying it so far! Thanks.
Thank you very much for your feedback. The app should resync automatically and in the new version we've implemented iOS native "pulldown" method to sync items (just as you do in GMail and many other apps) - simply pull down your tasks or projects and it will resync everything.
just to clarify: if I pull down the task list of one project will that resync everything or just this one project?
This does not work on mine. The only way it refreshes is if I close the app and reopen it.
I take the previous comment back somewhat. I can usually refresh using the icon I first wrote about within the settings at the bottom of the lower left column. However, that was failing yesterday. I also noticed a possibly bug where one odd project/task was showing up in the Today view - nothing that should have been there, and not including what should have. However, yesterday that issue appeared to clear up. Just thought I'd pass the info along anyway since it was very odd - temporarily.
The pull-down should resync all your data.
Please clarify - can you now also resync your tasks by pulling down your task list or your project list (there is some text saying "Syncing with Todoist" when you pull it down.
No. Perhaps I'm doing something wrong? When I do the pull down move, I get either nothing or I get my iPad pull down summary of my e-mail, weather, etc. I tried it several times. I can't try it again until I am home later.
When you pull it down, please do not start at the top of the screen - this will pull down the notification area. Instead, simply try to scroll your task list to the top and when it reaches the top, try to scroll it down even more - that's when you'll see the sync icon, the text and it will sync. It's a standard iOS mechanic implemented in many apps, incl. the native mail app.
