there already is a iPhone app. They are apparently working on an iPad app but refuse to give a hint on the release date. Releasing a proper app is apparently more important than releasing "something" on the announced date. It hope it comes soon, because the alternative iPad apps that can connect to a ToDoIst account a fairly useless, IMHO. Right now I am using the iPhone app on my iPad, also.

Hello Marcus,

We're indeed going to release a brand new iOS app that will work natively on both the iPhone and the iPad. It's almost done and will be released very soon :)

Best regards,
David

"patiently"? ;-)

IMO mobile app support (I can only speak for iOS here) is THE major weakness of ToDoIst and I hope that it is fixed soon ...

Hello Andy,

We realize that and that's exactly why we want to take the time we need to make a much better app for the iOS rather than publish one that's not good. We understand that it's frustrating to wait for it so long and we're sorry for the delays, but again - we simply don't want to give you an app with the exact same issues patched together within the least time possible to meet a deadline.

The good news is, the app is pretty much done at this point, we're finishing up the last details and preparing for the launch so it won't be long and it will be worth the wait :)

Best regards,
David

Hi David

thank you for your comment. The good thing for you guys is that since you never published a release date, the app can technically not be delayed :-)

In any case, I am looking forward to it a lot. Right now I do 95% of my ToDoIst work in a browser and would love to move more of it onto my iOS devices sooner rather than later.

Regards,
Andy
