Unnecessary detail in filtered widget

I configured the widget to display a custom filter, specifically:

(overdue) & !@example, 7 days & !@example

Instead of showing the dates on the widget, it will now display the date headers as follows:

"Today & !@example"
"Tomorrow & !@example"

I get the logic behind this but it looks ugly and cluttered and it's redundant because the selected filter is anyway shown at the top of the widget.

Secondly, the top of the widget displays the filter's entire query. The example I provided is too long to show on a phone, so it's cut off, which makes it useless. Instead of displaying the query the widget should display the name of the filter as shown in the dropdown box.
