Due date changes upon sync


The Android app itself works fine, but there seems to be an issue with the sync between Android and the computer tasks are input to.

I've been putting many many tasks into todoist and this has happened a few times over the past few days. I'll enter 10-20 tasks on my PC (or a school PC, it doesn't appear to matter) with the correct date. When these sync and I can read them on my Android, the dates will all be one day later than when they were entered. This appears to be a one-way error. The Android-input tasks appear on the correct day and when tasks are corrected on Android they remain the correct date on PC. I should also mention that the tasks that change due dates after sync remain the same date on PC, but changed on Android. Hopefully my wall of text is sensible!

Please tell me:
- Which version of our app are you using?
- Which version of Android are you using?
- Do you have the exact same time zone set in Todoist, on your Android device and on your PC?

Also, please clarify - where exactly do you view the tasks? Are you referring to the "7 days" view where you see the tasks under the incorrect dates or do you also see the incorrect dates within a project and when you try to edit a task?

Hi David, thanks for the quick response:

- The app version is 2.0.6
- The Android version is 4.3
- My Android app was set to -0500 America/Rainy River and the website is set to -0500 US/Central. I've now corrected the phone to US/Central. I should mention that the website, upon every load, asks to set me to -0400 and neither the 'never ask again' or 'don't update settings' work - I have to 'x' it out.

Following my time zone change on Android, I've made a test task for Today through the website; following the Android sync it appeared under 'Tomorrow' on the '7 Days' view. The 7 Days view is the view I am primarily using outside of individual projects. The sync error appears to be throughout the entire Android app - I had to go into each task individually to change to the correct dates.

Please confirm, does the task show up on Android as the wrong date only within the 7 day view, or the task itself (say on its Project view) is also incorrect? We have had a similar issue that is related to the 7 days view.

Also, Todoist will only ask you to change the timezone when the timezone has indeed changed, say even for daylight savings. So please always accept this change when asked, other issues such as this could happen.

I do recall the tasks displaying incorrectly under both the 7 Day view as well as the Project view on Android. I've since accepted the -0400 timezone prompted by the Chrome extension (I haven't moved from the -0500 timezone) and the tasks now display the correct date under both the 7 Day and Project views on Android. So for now it seems fixed.
