How do you set reminders inline on the Android App?

When I'm entering a task, I want to set a date/time reminder combo, so that I will be notified to do the task.

So I enter

Do some task <date 4th July at 10:30>

into the task name. But it doesn't expand into a reminder for the task.

What is the official way of doing this on the Android app?

Hello Ian,

Unfortunately, there is no support for a <date> tag in the Android app.

There are two types of reminders: relative and absolute. A relative reminder is set automatically to "30 minutes before deadline" whenever you add a task with a time so, for example:

Task name = Do some task
Due date = 4 Jul at 10:30

This will automatically set a reminder to "4 Jul at 10:00" for this task.

An absolute reminder can be added regardless of the date, time or lack thereof, but it requires a <remind> tag in the task's name so, for example:

Task name = Do some task <remind today at 10:30>
Due date = 4 Jul

This will send you a reminder at 10:30. The task also doesn't need to have a due date at all if you add a reminder this way.

Best regards,
