Boolean Operators Not Working On Android App

The boolean operators are not working in the Android app. My start page is set to "(overdue, 7 days) & !@work", just like my web app, but it doesn't display anything on my device.

Is this an issue with the app or my device?

Hi Jake,

I can confirm that this does happen on the Android app. I have let the developers know about it and hope to have it solved soon.

Thanks for the report,

Hi Brendon,

Although we can't give you any specific deadline, we're already working on it and we'll soon release updates that will implement it.

Best regards,

Even simple queries don't work. For example "p1 | p2" works neither on Android nor on iPhone app. Please fix it...

Hello Nadya,

We're sorry for the inconvenience, the new boolean operators feature will be implemented into the next updates of our Android app.

this is not working? It is about two years after this thread. The filter works fine on Chrome Mac, and does not work on Android (5.x). Here are two screen snaps.

Hi Douglas,

Project filtering is indeed not supported yet in the current version of the Android app. It was fairly added recently though and should be supported in the upcoming Material Design update.

Please update to it once it's available and so sorry for the inconvenience!

wow, thank you for the quick response. I am looking forward to the material
design version. I signed up for early access, I guess that is something I
think I did.

BTW, I am following in love with todoist. I kept wishing google tasks was
going to grow up, but it never did. I watch all kinds of training videos on
todoist from many people on youtube. Boy my lists are getting so awesome.
Thank you.

Also, I would love if labels were sortable or reorderable. I am so anal
about my lists. Lol....

Hi Douglas,

We're slowly rolling out invitations in batches so you should get yours soon. :-)

As for sorting labels, it's not something we're currently working on but we'll consider making this an option in the future.

I can confirm that filtering works in 8.0 (material design update) beta 4, as shown in my attachments.

I'm glad this is being addressed. Is it too late to sign up for early access?

Hi Mitch,

Yes, our beta program is already closed, but you won't wait too long for the official release :-)
