The translated weekday is not recognized by todoist

CH

When adding a task and clicking due date, the app will suggest today, tomorrow and the next weekday. Today that weekday will be wednesday. However with the new update the day is translated into system languages, in my case danish so it will display "onsdag".

When clicking that the due date is not understood by todoist which renders the otherwise brilliant feature broken.

But your recent update is otherwise brilliant!

Hello Casper,

Please tell me:
- Is both the language as well as the regional setting of your phone set to Danish?
- Have you changed any of these settings lately?
- Does uninstalling and reinstalling the app solve this issue?

Best regards,
David

Came here to say the same. Even calendar inside app gives a translated date, which is misunderstood by the app and saved like a year ahead, different month, though the day stays correct. My phone's language is "lithuanian", Samsung Galaxy SIII, Android 4.1.2. Without this basic function not working correctly, this app is pretty unusable. Otherwise my favourite on the web.

Hello,

We're very sorry for the inconvenience, I've passed this issue to the developers and we'll try to fix it very soon. Please let me know if the issue persists in the recently released updated version 1.1.1.

For now, as a workaround, please type due dates manually (tod, tom, 26/4 etc.).

Best regards,
David

Casper,

We've just published version 1.1.2 of our app, it will be available on the PlayStore soon and it should address this issue.

Best regards,
David

I have the same problem as Casper Hvilsted Nørgaard, but then in Dutch. I have a Samsung Galaxy Advance and the version of Todoist is 2.0.8 (Android 2.3.6).

Hello Hermien,

This issue has been solved in version 2.0.8. Please try to delete the app and reinstall this version again and if the issue persist, please let me know how exactly are you adding the date (from the calendar or the suggestions below the date field)?

Best regards,
David

Just reinstalled it and the problem persists. The problem occurs when I try to add a date from the suggestions below the date field. I can use the calendar without any problems.

Hermien,

Could you please clarify - which of the suggestions exactly are you selecting?

Best regards,
David

Same problem here with todoist in Dutch.
It doesnt recognize dutch human dates like 'vandaag' (today) or 'morgen' (tomorrow).

But it does suggests the dutch human dates, so that doesnt make any sense.

Reinstalling doesnt help

Same problem here with todoist in Dutch.

This is the second time this is happening, the issue had been already solved in a prior update...

David, the problem occurs just like Wouter Guliker describes.

You add a task in the app, you push the date box (not the calendar, but the one next to it on the left). A drop down (drop up) screen appears with the options "Vandaag" "Morgen""iedere dag" "meer...". If you choose one of those you get the message "Wij begrijpen uw vervaldatum niet" meaning "we don't understand your enddate".

Same here after recent update. Besides, there is no option to change the language? Changing location doesn't change the language...
