Great new widgets - how do I get rid of them?

Been using Todoist for quite some time now, and of course got the new update for Android with its two widgets (according to the email you sent out).

But I only discouvered one - the Task List you can place on a home screen. The other one, Add Task, I can't seem to find amongst my list of widgets.

However, in the notification area, an icon for Todoist have appeared. And remains there like all the time (or until I stop the app with brute force at least)!

Is this what you mean by "will allow you to add tasks directly from your phone’s home-screen without ever having to enter the app itself"?

I don't what that "widget" taking up space in my notification area - how do I get rid of it, without uninstalling the app?

Add task can be found under Shortcuts.

Add task functionality in the notification area can be disabled under Settings in the app itself (Settings>App>Notifications)

Thanks, it worked!

Would you please not have that checked by default when you upgrade the app? 'Cause I unchecked Notifications like you described, only to get an upgrade for the Android app the day after, and voilà - the checkbox was back!

(Why on Earth are you messing with the settings on an upgrade anyway? Leave it, the user is probably happy with the settings, and doesn't want them changed on every upgrade.)

Hello Magnus,

The settings should be preserved if you update the app regularly. They may change if you clear the app's cache, uninstall it or log out.

Best regards,
