Shortcuts to filters showing number of active tasks

A

Hello. I'm new to todoist and I'd like to ask if there are some features exist in the mobile app. Currently I'm using RememberTheMilk app, there are some things I don't like in it and I'm searching for the another todo organizer for android platform. In the RTM mobile I'm able to create shortcuts to "filters" - an icon on the Android desktop with number of active task over it
(I found a screenshot in the internet to explain:
http://bit.ly/16IXlOA
).
I plan to create some projects and assign labels to the lowerLevel tasks. Shortcuts are needed to immediately open application showing filter: tasks from defined project with defined in shortcut label, or tasks from all projects with defined (in shortcut) label.

Is it possible to realise in TodoIst?

4*3 or 4*4 widget is not the best way to solve this problem, cause sometimes It's needed to discover how many tasks left in some project (or in some projects, or in projects with some labels separately) quickly.

I tried to explain understandable. This problem is one stopping me to buy pro accnt.

Thanks for any reply.

And the comfortable moment in using such shortcuts is shortcut:). I mean pressing on it application could open result tasks in a moment.

Hello Andrey,

Unfortunately, that's not possible right now. If you'd use the widget, you could see the amount of tasks that meet the criteria of the displayed at the top of it, but you can't create shortcuts to your home page representing filters.

Nonetheless, the Todoist app itself allows you to easily view all your filters, labels and projects with numbers of tasks assigned to them giving you a clear overview. Please take a look at this short screencast showing how easily you can view and access this data with Todoist: http://screencast.com/t/CuHWlNa39il

Best regards,
David

David, thanks for reply!

This feature is not exactly what I meant. For instance (I'm not the software developer, but for expample, just to explain), I'm developing software. And now I have

software project 1
software project 2
and
software project 2

So, I delegate some actions to Alex and Jane.
labels:
@Delegated2Alex
@Delegated2Jane

And now I need a short way to view:

tasks that are included in "software project 1" and have label @Delegated2Jane

or
tasks that are included in "software project 1" and "software project 3" and have label @Delegated2Alex.

I saw a review about premium function with filters
( http://todoist.com/Help/timeQuery ), but I didn't find any reference about operator for selecting projects (I need them for mobile version). In the screencast there were 4 filters: p1, p2, etc. . Is there any operator for selecting a project (s)?

For example query like

proj "software project 1" AND proj "software project 2" AND @Delegated2Alex
or
proj "software project 1" AND @Delegated2Alex @Delegated2Jane

Do you have any ideas how to realise such queries?

Thanks for any reply.

Sorry, I meant filter instead of query.

Andrey,

Unfortunately, our app doesn't support queries or filters by project. We will certainly consider adding such option in the future and you're welcome to vote for these requests in our Votebox:
http://todoist.com/Vote/showProposal/49/
http://todoist.com/Vote/showProposal/15/

Right now, when you tap on a label, you would see tasks that have this label across all projects, but also the related project names in which these tasks are (for reference).

Best regards,
David

David, thanks for reply!
I think it's possible to realise my idea with only labels. Anyway, I'll vote for this features!

Not supporting projects in filters seems to me to rather idiotic:

projects are one of the main ways of organise tasks, but you can't use them in filters!!!

In my case, I have lots of priority 2 tasks in one project that I want to filter OUT, so that when I see my main Priority 2 tasks they're not lost midst these ones. I thought I could set up a filter to do this. Wrong again.
