Off line use

Can I use todoist off line. I go through periods where I have little or no internet connection and I am looking for a to do list manager that works off line and I am not able to see if todoist does or does not work off line.

Yes, you can use Todoist offline. The mobile apps can be used offline anytime, the desktop apps can be used offline if you have them opened and lose the internet connection when working with Todoist. Same applies to the web-app, but if you access the web-app through a fully HTML5 compatible browser (such as Chrome) using this URL: http://todoist.com/app?v=90 , you can even access the site while you're already offline.

Would it be possible to have the Chrome App redirect to that HTML5-address then?

I haven't quite understood the extra benefit I get from the Chrome app (mind you, I fail to see the use for most Chrome apps), but I find it funny that I could use the webpage offline but not the app. Or am I missing something here?

The Chrome app should work offline as described above as well. Do you mean the Chrome extension or?

Hi Brendon,

Thanks for your reply!

I mean the app, which I launch from Chrome's app launcher. It takes me to this URL: https://todoist.com/app?v=305#agenda%2Ftoday%2C__overdue.

When I do that in Flight Mode, I get a message saying: "Todoist: To-Do Liste und Aufgabenverwaltung
Diese App ist momentan nicht erreichbar."
(which roughly means: Todoist; this app is currently not reachable.)

Oh, and I tried typing todoist.com in the location bar and clicking the link (v=90) above in Flight Mode just now, and both of them didn't work this time, either. I do remember one - or both? - of them working yesterday.

Would be great if you could have a look into that - I'd love to have offline access on my Surface, too.

Thanks again,

That is correct. HTML5 only allows offline to work if you have been online first, then go offline. We can not improve this at this time,.

Ah, I see. Guess I'll just have to install the Windows app then - not like you guys don't offer support for enough operating systems :)

Thanks again!
