android push notifications, half hour too soon

The default push notification of a todo is 30 minutes in advance.

Can I shorten this to 0 minutes? There is no where I can edit this.

If this is not possible, i'll start something in the 'votebox'

Hello Peter,

The "30 minutes before deadline" setting cannot be customized for any type of notification, but you can avoid it completely and set up notifications manually.

To do so, log into your Todoist account through the web-app at https://todoist.com click on the gear icon in the top-right corner and go to Settings -> Reminders. Here, you can set "no default reminder" and from now on, by default, a task with a due time will not have any reminder assigned to it, but you can add a reminder to it by typing <remind tod at 13:00> for example, within the task name. This works both through the web-app and the Android app.

This way, you can also set recurring reminders, for example - <remind ev day at 8:30> for recurring tasks.

That is a lot of work!

Will it be possible in the future to make "30 minutes before deadline" configurable?

If not, I'll start doing your workaround,

We will consider making it configurable. You're welcome to vote for this request: http://todoist.com/Vote_Android/showProposal/39/

I would love to be able to configure whether reminders are 30 minutes prior or right at the time due. It seems odd that 30 minutes prior is the default. I look forward to this feature being added. Thank you.
