Currently the reminder system is largely broken and we are very sorry about this. A quick fix was not at hand thought and the reminder system needed a rewrite.

Tomorrow we'll launch a new reminder system which feature following features:

Ability to auto add reminders on all tasks that have a time specified
Ability to add multiple and different emails and mobile phones
Improved functionality, such as recurring reminders on recurring tasks
Lots of bug fixes

We are sorry it has taken so long time and we hope this new reminder system will function a lot better.

Full text search and API fixes

We have worked hard on improving full text search and a new version is out. What's new:

We have changed away from Lucene to Xapian. Lucene's performance was pretty bad
The indexing should be improved and indexing of new/changed tasks should happen immediately

We are still indexing your older tasks and there can go some hours before they are fully indexed.

Apart from this we have fixed some issues regarding our API.

If you have some bugs that are killing you, please post them to GetSatisfaction.com.

PS: We have also installed email notifications on this blog, so we are alerted about your comments. Should make the dialog more dynamic.

We have fixed a series of time related bugs (especially related to day light savings).

We at Todoist hope that this blog can kickstart a new era of Todoist development. An era where we strive towards building the best way to become and stay productive.

First iteration will be solving some minor issues (such as daylight saving bugs), afterwards we'll focus on adding new exciting features.

Manage multiple tasks at once

You can now apply actions on multiple tasks at once. Some examples:

Update dates on multiple tasks at once. Really useful if you have some overdue tasks that you wish to postpone
Move multiple tasks around projects
Delete multiple tasks at once

To select multiple tasks at once, simply Ctrl+Mouse Left click on a task to select it.

Reminders are now again functional and monitoring is added to keep them up.

We will in the upcoming days also roll out a new feature, which is going to make it much easier to manage a lot of task at once :-)

Moved and some improvements

Todoist is now moved to the new data center.

We have also added some improvements, some of these are:

Faster hardware, should be able to handle much more users
Support for q: free text search
Support for back and forward browser buttons
Improved and upgraded the libraries behind Todoist

A new Todoist Firefox sidebar is now added which offers following features:

A toolbar button is added, clicking on it will launch a minified version of Todoist
Add links with a single click
Gmail integration: Add emails as tasks and view them quickly
All features from Todoist
