One-tap checking off of tasks ...
The two-tap interface in the current beta works fine, but I think many people will prefer a single-tap interface, and/or one with a visible checkbox. Personally, I'd love to have the ability for a swipe gesture to toggle the status of a task.

I would love to see gesture based indentation, so I would favor a SMALL, subtle checkbox. Please no huge ones like in the previous version. New interface is beautiful, lets keep that way!

Another possibility to kill two birds with one stone here: (1) quick swipe to the right to mark an item completed ... that way no need to create a checkbox, and (2) LONG press and DRAG to the right to indent / DRAG to the left to outdent.
Personally, I think that is an awesome idea. @Todoist - you are welcome :)
A nice checkbox beside the task would make this app perfect!

This is VERY necessary, IMO. One of the few important things that the new app does not get right is two-tap completion. A swipe or a checkbox should be implemented.
Likewise, swiping anywhere on the screen to bring up the project panel is kind of annoying and a waste of touch interface. I like what Todd is talking about with a few contextual gestures over the items. Indenting, organizing, and completing shouldn't really require any taps, necessarily, at this point.
This would bring it more in line to the natural intuitiveness of the webapp that we've all loved for years.

one-tap would be great. I usually think of swipe as 'delete'.

I'm a big fan of the checkboxes.. they make it feel more like a 'to do' list. The swipe to delete would also be cool.
