Archive projects

Sometimes one wants to remove a project from the menu without deleting its history. This suggestion is to add a method to archive a project instead of deleting it.

Perhaps a new "Archive" option could be added to the modal menu represented by the gear icon, before or after "Delete". An inconspicuous link below the project menu might then allow you to toggle on archived projects so that they are visible and can be made active again.

The way I work with so many projects that kind of solution is really "taylor made"!

This would be very handy!

that's the only feature missing to make Todoist the perfect GTD application. You guys should write a guide for it, do some advertising in this direction and that would make you lots of clients. People spend so much time searching for the best GTD app.

If you can't complete a project, then they shouldn't be called projects. The stuff on the left should just be called categories or areas. The irony of software to help you get stuff done but won't let you complete a project is pretty funny! Yeah, you gotta fix this.

My current solution is to drag all completed projects to an empty project called "Archived Projects" and move it right to the bottom. For the most part, this 'hack' works EXCEPT it sucks that the iphone all shows ALL projects in the list.

So this really needs to be a feature (a flag in the database that does not list archived projects alongside active projects).

Yes, please, sometimes it could be very important to look back into an older project for soecific details - would help a lot when boss asks something about something :)

Any idea that removes clutter from the primary workspace (while retaining all historical activities) I'm all for.

If you follow GTD or its variations every complicated task with subtasks is project. So it would be nice to finish projects in Todoist and transfer them to folder like "archive", where you can always overlook em through months and years

Hello,

this feature has been implemented: https://plus.google.com/b/106827182652048588353/106827182652048588353/posts/8M3iRf77ghE

Now you can archive your projects simply by right-clocking on a project and choosing "Archive". Then, to access, delete or unarchive it, click on the "Show archived projects" list.

We'd like to thank you for all your votes and suggestions and we hope you like this feature :)

Best regards,
David
