Dismissing tasks
This is a small but (at least for me) psychologically important feature: the ability to dismiss a task, as opposed to checking it off. There are some tasks that I have set up to recur on a frequent basis as reminders for good habits (like spending time reading or going to the gym), but I do not get the chance to do them every time they come up. Checking them off without completing them feels like cheating, but I don't want them to linger around and clog my list up either. A single-click dismissal feature would be nice to have.
This feature would be especially important to implement if you were to implement my other suggestion about keeping tallies of recurrently completed tasks.
Thanks!

I totally agree. I know you can postpone recurring tasks now and they will go to the next occurrence, but I think there is a subtle difference here.
I also think that postponing should push a recurring task to tomorrow like it does with a regular task and resume the pattern, the next time it is complete.

That's exactly what I would like to use too!

I was just about to post this exact suggestion!
