More than great, essential :-)

one could 'trick' Postbox into accepting the Thunderbird addon, thus gaining some - if not all, i haven't made the COMPARISON myself - functionality.I've have this setup running for the last hour or so, and can confirm it works, although not as smoothly as an addon with 'native' support.http://robert.orzanna.de/2012/06/make-thunderbird-add-on-compatible-with.html

How do you use the plugin?
on Feb 20, 2013 - 00:25
I just installed the 1.0 Beta. Great to see the progress! Do you plan on adding the ability to create a ToDoist task with a link to a particular e-mail message? That would be killer. Otherwise, it is merely a display convenience, which is not useless, but...Thanks. Keep up the good work!

I just installed the beta and it works pretty fine. The icon I placed in the main Postbox toolbar is a little bit shifted upwards though:http://i45.tinypic.com/2coq2rp.pngAnd would it be possible to make the panel resizable? On my 13" MBA things are a little tight.

Hello,@Jesse - please clarify - are you experiencing any issues during installation, after installation? What feature are you trying to use which causes problems?@Bruce - yes, of course we will add the standard "Add email as task" function in future revisions. This is an early beta build and we're having some difficulties in implementing some features due to lack of proper documentation for plugin creation in Postbox, but the final version will have this feature.@Vincent - thank you for your feedback, we'll try to make the panel resizable. Reg. the icon, please clarify - is this the Mac version you're using (as it appears)?Best regards,David

@Jesse: after installation I had to add the icon to the toolbar manually. Right click on the Postbox toolbar, click on the menu item and drag the Todoist icon to the toolbar.@David: thanks! I'm indeed using Postbox with Mac OS 10.7.5.

Some more observations (all still on Mac OS 10.7.5)- The 'add task' popover window (ctrl+q) doesn't fit inside the sidebar- Several links trigger a compose message window instead of what they're supposed to do. These are the upgrade link, popout button (lower right corner), all items in the settings menu except logout, the and the e-mail tasks link in the task actions menu.- The Todoist logo in the lower left corner first triggers a compose window, then asks how you want to open the 'app' html document from todoist.com- If you accidentally click the 'sign in with google' button on the login page, there's no way to go back to the regular login screen except by restarting Postbox

@Vincent Vijn Thank you, Vincent! The answer that I was looking for :) I was puzzled on how to show the Todoist integration with Postbox till I found out that you need to manually do it.

VIncent,Thank you very much for your report. Regarding the last issue - you can actually get out of the Google Sign In page. To do so, right-click somewhere within the plugin pane and you'll see a small "Reload" and "Logout" context menu. Click on "Logout" and it will forward you back to the main login page.Best regards,David

Just installed the add-on (Windows 7 64). Looks great, works like a charm. Thanks. The only difference I see from Thunderbird is I don't get an option to add email as task. Not sure if it's me or it isn't yet a feature of the Postbox extension.(BTW, I have found that feature to be kind of buggy in Thunderbird anyway.)

Wahey, this looks great. Very happy appy to see this has made it to Postbox.Keep up the excellent work!

I'd like to echo Bruce... I really want this for the 'add email' functionality... so far this looks good! No bumps found yet that haven't been mentioned.

Hello,We will certainly add the "Add email as task" feature to the final version of our plugin as it's a key feature for our email client plugins. We'll inform you once we have the next beta version available and then officially announce the launch of the final version. Thank you for all your feedback so far.Best regards,David

Roll on :)The Karma points seem to be pushing the "show menu" down which is a bit of a niggle, so I too would love to see a new version.Thanks.

Indeed, please make the Todoist add-on fully compatible with Postbox!!!

I tool would like to have the Todoist add-on for Postbox, although I'm on Mac if that's important. Is the beta available to try, and if so where? Thanks for this awesome tool.

I tried to use Thunderbird's version by changing the install.rdf file to add postbox. However, when I try to install it, it says that there is a problem related with dictionaries.Have you tried doing this? Is the version of todoist for Postbox very different from Thunderbird's one?Cheers,David
on Dec 04, 2013 - 18:45
David,Yes, they are different enough that changing the file for Thunderbird does not exactly work.Thanks,Brendon.
on Dec 04, 2013 - 18:51
Ok. Will wait for your version then :)Cheers,David
