Allow overdue daily tasks to carry over to "today"
Any daily task completely after midnight automatically posts to "tomorrow" and thus skips a day.
Include functionality to either have the item carry over to the next day, rather than skipping a day, or the ability to change at what hour one day rolls over to the next.

I support this proposal. Typically, I find this to be a problem when a daily repeating task is overdue from a date in the past, eg "yesterday". When I click this task to be complete from "yesterday", it is then rescheduled to occur "tomorrow", which from a project management or diary planning view should be downright dangerous, as the task will not be flagged up for completion "today".

I agree to Martin Doe. I find this logic simply absurd. Actually I missed some quite important tasks until I found out that this bug is supposed to be a "feature"...

The implementation for recurring tasks just boggles my mind. I cannot come up with a clear mental model of how it is currently implemented.
In my mind the way to do it would be to show recurring tasks on every day they are supposed to be done, not just the one time I haven't completed it. For example, if I have a task that is "every weekday", when I look at a 5-7 day outlook I should see it on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Right now I only see it once, the first time I haven't completed it.
Showing the recurring tasks on everyday they are due gives a clearer picture of what the task really is, something to be done on a recurring basis. It also allows an easy way to solve the problem of yesterday's task that was not checked off.
Looking at my list of tasks to be done today, I would see yesterday's recurring task (that never got checked off), today's recurring task (because I haven't done it yet) and depending upon my search I would also see the future occurrences of the recurring tasks. If I actually did the task yesterday, I would check it off and it would record it as being completed yesterday (NOT today). I would still have today's recurring task to do (and tomorrow's too). If I did not complete the task yesterday, I would click "dismiss" and it would just remove it from yesterday's lists of tasks that I haven't done.
