Wedoist Integration

With my company I have several projects running on Wedoist with 2-3 people on each. I would love the two applications to talk, so that when tasks are assigned to me on Wedoist, they appear in my Todoist (maybe under a "project" specifically created to match the "project" in Wedoist). That way I can use Todoist as my daily "to-do" list, but check out Wedoist for other team updates/project directions.

I completely agree. I would love to use wedoist as a project management solution, but I would need the integration to make it worth the switch for me.

Come on folks! This feature would be so useful. Throw a dog a bone!

A brilliant idea!

I am new to both todoist and wedoist but i would immediately switch from my current todo software if this feature was available!

This has my full support. I use wedoist within my team to manager project collaborative tasks, and I also use todoist to mange my personal tasks. It would be great if the wedoist tasks assigned to me appear on my todoist list, so I don't have to juggle two to-do lists. Thanks, guys the best to do list ever.

I'm surprised they are not integrated.

this really is no brainer

Yes, please integrate this. It's what's holding me back from getting my company on Wedoist.

Seems like staff don't monitor these discussions.

With the latest release of the mobile app for Android I started digging around and saw they already HAVE this feature. But it's fairly expensive and designed for businesses. It's called "IstEnterprise". For a team of 5 it costs $200/mo. Extremely expensive in my opinion. For $10 per month you can get some other software (rhymes with "Influence") for 10 users and do a hell of a lot more for documentation, knowledgebases, blogs, etc. They also have team based "To Do lists", which while not being as fully featured as wedoist ... are a hell of a sight cheaper.

Here is link for IstEnterprise.

Not to mention - you have to host the bloody thing yourself! So they're charging you $200/mo so that you have to pay for a server, bandwidth, and utilities. I doubt they have more than 5 companies subscribing to this product.

That "Influence" product I mentioned charges $10 ONCE if you decide to host the thing yourself. Unbelievable.

Hello Mike,

We monitor all responses in every thread. Ist Enterprise is basically Todoist and Wedoist for companies who want to host the data on their servers (for data security policies, for example).

We will certainly add features allowing Todoist and Wedoist to be interchangeable in the future. These are quite complex implementations and we can't give you any specific timeframes when such integration will be available, but we're working on it.

Best regards,
David

David,
Thanks for responding. I think the Ist Enterprise price point for your average SME/small business is way out of line, but for the case of large enterprise with need for data security - perhaps that makes sense.

Look forward to those features, but understand the timeline issue. I'm back in the Todoist fold after getting premium on Black Friday. Thoroughly enjoying the mobile app as well. Was so happy to see you responded so fast with the update to manual mobile syncing for nonpremium users - that I ended up buying premium anyways :)

Side question - perhaps if you can respond in an email ... but what were your reasons for going native over the recently released HTML5 version you emailed about? Did you investigate packagers like PhoneGap? As a web developer I'm interested in this topic and have been building up an article on the subject specifically for Android.

Top of the list priority for me! :) YOU CAN DO IT!

If this can happen I will get of donedone and move all to wedoist... Can on team - this will be a revenue spinner if marketed correctly.!!! :-)

Absolute necessity!

As in my suggestion here:

I know you have Wedoist however Todoist is far superior and feels like a finished product, it would be an amazing feature to add an option to share projects with other people.

I do not think there is much need to Todoist and Wedoist to be separate because you will always have less time to develop the less popular one. Adding another subsciption would solve this problem, for instance: free, pro, commercial

Thank you.
