Partial search function

At the moment q: only finds complete words.
"q: tas" wouldn't find "task"

Yes! I was thinking the same thing. Even to find other parts of the word if you could search the following:

"q: *ask" returns "task"
"q: tas*" returns "task"

I suppose without the "*" is simpler, but could result in bringing up more tasks than you want if you do know what you're searching for.

+1
should either do substring search automatically, or allow for wildcards.

Very annoying when you're searching for a task you know is in your list somewhere but are missing an 's' or the like. Workaround is to view all tasks and use the browser search, but todoist hijacks that in Firefox - typing '/' goes to the todoist box, not a browser window search.

This is definately needed. Otherwise "q:" is not very helpful ...

Yes, please allow a wildcard character in the search term.
