Start page setting which allows only today's tasks to be shown

I'd really like to have a setting option that allows my start page to show ONLY today's tasks (vs including my overdue tasks as well). I know I can do this after I'm on the start page, but it would be nice to be able to set this as my default instead of having to remove "overdue" from the query box in order to focus on today.

The ideal would be to have today's tasks listed with an overdue "bubble" nearby showing the number of overdue tasks. Clicking on the bubble would reveal the overdue tasks when I'm ready to view them.

Also, it would be nice to be able to choose the order in which the overdue tasks appear when I opt to view them (i.e. ascending OR descending order)

Hello Cliff,

such option is already available in Todoist. In order to set up a custom start page, please go to the Todoist Preferences and you'll see a "Start page" section at the top of the General Settings.

Pick "Custom query" from the drop-down menu, click on the "Edit" link and you'll be able to type in any supported query format, such as "priority 1, overdue", "20 days" and of course "today" which will show only today's tasks on your start page.

Best regards,
David
