Change default reminder time from 30 min to a user defined time (e.g. 10 min) is the first thing I searched for once became a premium user. I most needed reminders for meetings that I can attend by walking between buildings. So 10 min would be perfect and 30 min is too early.

Agree... I can't understand why a 30 minute, inflexible, reminder alert would exist. User defined, with Outlook type flexibility, would be optimal.

Hello Chuck,

Please note that you can switch off default reminders and add reminders manually to any task - they can be due 10 minutes before deadline, 1 hour before deadline or longer. Also, in case of absolute reminders, they can be recurring and set to a specific time, for example - type <remind ev day @ 2pm> within the task name and such reminder will be assigned to it right away. You can right-click on any task and choose "Reminders" to manage them.

Best regards,
David

I have tried that and, regardless of what time I set the reminder to, the push alert hits my iPhone 30 minutes in advance. Every other task manager that I have used, or am trying, sets reminders off at the time that I desire.

Perhaps there is a setting that I am missing.

Chuck,

Please log in at https://todoist.com click on the gear icon in the top-right corner, go to Settings -> Reminders and then select "No default reminder". This will switch off the option of having a "30 minutes before" reminder set up for every task that has a due time and will allow you to only use reminders manually.

Of course, we will also consider to add an option to choose the default time for reminders.

Best regards,
David
