sublist or "check list" feature
Greetings.
Some tasks require sub-tasks in order to be completed.
Therefore, in addition to adding a task, how about an optional sublist or "check list" that allows users to see what they need to do.
Example: The task at hand is "Send out evites to people".
The check list could include "Facebook friends," "Co-workers," "Neighbors," and so on.

Hello Joe,
this feature is already available in Todoist. It's called "sub-tasks" and allows you to create "child tasks" under a "parent task" in up to 4 indent levels.
To create a sub-task, simply click on the right/left arrows at the right end of the tasks input field or, when adding or editing a task, press and hold the CTRL key and then use the LeftArrow/RightArrow keys to change a task's indent level.
A "completed" sub-task will also not be removed from the list until its parent task is completed.
