Why use Todoist if we can't sync tasks? No reason to keep two tasks lists. Applications that has sync function with Outlook tasks will be the winner in this market.

Just add this option to have the ultimate GTD product !!

Essential. This is the only reason I am not able to use Todoist.Thank you.

I am very happy with the Todoist plugin for Outlook. I am able to keep one list of tasks, yet view them while working in Outlook. I can also add an email as a task and work with it in the same application. Great product.[I recognize that some folks work in organizations that are heavily using Outlook tasks. I am just thankful that I do not have to do so.]

Hello Therese,You can use Todoist as a simple alternative to Outlook's Tasks - with or without our Outlook plugin. Please refer to these videos to see how to get started:- With Todoist in general: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c4mpv8tlhAU- With Todoist for Outlook: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oPFxeJoPeEIBest regards,David

Sorry David, but that is exactly NOT what we are requesting here. Todoist is great and all, but without a real sync with Outlook tasks it is unusable for many of us. Many people have to use Outlook tasks (for whatever reason, e.g. as it is a requirement in the company etc.) and many simply choose to use Outlook tasks - in all of those cases Todoist is not a viable alternative, plugin or not.The minute you guys release a working synchronisation with Outlook (the market leading mail client), I am becoming your most loyal customer ;-)

Michel,I understand that this request is different, I just wanted to clarify for Therese how Todoist can be used as a dedicated to-do app without such integration.Best regards,David

Having this feature would permits to use it with many other already outlook integrated plugins like TROG barThank you,Giovanni

I add my vote - even just a simple task import utility to make Todoist start-up easy.

This feature request doesn't make sense to me, because it's requesting If you need real Outlook Sync, why would you use Todoist in the first place? Go use Remember The Milk or something. Outlook has no task hierarchy, so Todoist tasks would just be a jumbled mess... And if you're not using multiple levels in your task lists, and require Outlook sync, why did you choose Todoist?I can make a list of things "wrong" with Todoist, but lack of Outlook sync -- even though I'd appreciate it myself -- isn't one of them.

I would also prefer an integration with Outlook Tasks.

Syncing existing Outlook tasks really is the final step to achieving greatness, IMO. Corporate IT won't allow the installation of the plug-in on my company laptop, but as we have Outlook Anywhere enabled, I have it installed on my home computer. During the day while I'm at the office I need to create new tasks and link them to emails, etc., which I can't do in Outlook without the plug-in, and it doesn't make sense to have duplicates (1 in Outlook, another manual entry in Todoist). This inhibits my task completion as they don't sync to my mobile devices when I'm in meetings, etc.I feel like even a one-way sync would be wonderful - existing Outlook tasks (or changes to them) into Todoist. That way I could create or mark something as complete while at work, and then use my personal laptop in the evening to sync to Todoist. Not ideal, but way better than trying to duplicate entries in both systems, not to mention the hundred plus existing tasks that are sitting in Outlook at the moment with no way of integrating with my other system.

Are there any actual plans to develop this yet? Todoist has so much going for it, but adding sync to tasks would make it actually work together with all the other project management add-ins I use.

Hello Devon,Right now we're not working on this implementation yet, but we'll look into it and see what can be done. The main "issue" with syncing data between any other task management software is that the more the feature set differentiates between the two, the more difficult it is to handle the different data without losing too much information during the transition, but again - we will surely look into this.Best regards,David

I definitely know the pain of compatibility development between software, not an easy request generally. Honestly though, 2 way sync between the completed checkmark, task name, and due date would be enough to keep most people happy for a long time I wager.
