Buttons for easy text formatting

Typing the %(hl) ....% syntax gets a bit cumbersome and unwieldy if one is using the text formatting regularly. I suggest that any special characters should be invisible to the user. All the user should have to do is click a button (similar to a typical word processing application)
with a button for "bold", one for "italic", one for highlighting etc.

Hello Martin,

thank you for your feedback, we appreciate it and will consider adding text-formatting buttons in future development.

For now, please note that you can use keyboard shortcuts instead of typing the syntax:
Ctrl+B - for bold text,
Ctrl+I - for italic text,
Ctrl+U - for underlined text and
Ctrl+Y - for highlighted text.

Simply select the text you want to be formatted and press one of these shortcuts to insert the syntax.

Yeah an easy way to format text would be great. Simple buttons when editing the text or entering a task/project would be useful.
