Hey
What kind of files would you attach as tasks? Your feedback is valuable as it can help us understand your usage!
Best regards,
Amir

Hi Amir,
In my case, some important file types are listed as follows,
Mandatory: .txt, .pdf, .doc, .xls, .ppt, .zip, .tar, .tar.gz, .7z, .rar
Optional: .jpg , .gif

Hi,
I need mainly pdf, txt, doc attachments.
.zip would also be great as you could put everything else in there...
Also, I've just did a searched and learned that there are a few more suggestions for file attachments... maybe someone can consolidate the different threads to one, so that we get more votes.
Thanks,
Eddie
It would be helpful when sending emails with attachment to todoist.

This is really important so that tasks can point to documents that are needed for the project.

Maybe not attach a file, but allow linking to a local file on my network so it can be opened instantly in whatever program Windows wants to open it in,

How about linking to dropbox or the like? Doesn't work well for emails with attachments, but would at least solve the current problem of not being able to attach files.
This really SHOULD be a feature, at least for premium users. It is very simple to allow some pdf, zip and such file attachments to a task item. There's no acceptable reason to delay this as well as other many features that have been voted up for many months already (like the import/export feature.)
I like Todoist and I joined in an instant when I found out about it, in great part because I was lead to believe that updates and improvements are taken seriously and performed regularly. However, I have been using Todoist for at least 6 months and in that time I saw a couple minor improvements while the voting system keeps giving users the runaround.
I know I speak for a good number of us premium users when I say that patience is wearing thin and we are periodically considering other options. My premium fees may be up for renewal soon, and Todoist has not shown nearly enough commitment to us users to merit an effortless renewal. Todoist beware.

We've added a lot of new options to Todoist this year (mobile apps, HTML5 support, import/export templates etc.) and we will of course continue to add more in the future.

I'm a beta user for IQTELL and they've tried to integrate almost everything including documents/files and links with dropbox, evernote, google drive etc. I finally fell back to Todoist because it was clean and fast. However, I am strongly feeling the need to at least be able to link to Google drive or Dropbox if not store files right here. This would be a much needed feature for many I believe.

Hi over there,
if you want to have documents attached to your tasks - shat about versioning? (Or better use Google Docs/Drive to collaborate?)

Meinhard

A must-add feature, definitely should have this! Todist is awesome, but this would make it awesome-er! :)

Hello Everyone,
As of today, you can attach files to task notes in Todoist. Use the icon next to the "Add note" button and select the files you want to upload from your computer or simply drag & drop them to the marked area.
We hope you like this feature and you're welcome to let us know what you think about it. We appreciate any feedback.
Best regards,
David
Thank you so much guys... you are the best.
