Instant Messenger Reminders
It would be great to have the possibility to be reminded via instant messenger (Jabber, MSN, Skype etc) in addition of e-mails.

And Google Talk/Chat! Then you don't have tons of extra emails and you could see a history of the reminders all in one place!

Yes please! I'm new to this program and how reminders function is one of the deciding factors of whether I'm going to stay (and become a premium user). Neither the email nor SMS reminder systems appeal to me as those are areas I am either trying desperately to keep uncluttered or too easy to overlook.
I would also be happy with a system that did desktop notifications.

Could be accomplished with ifttt integration.
