Often users have specific needs and it is not always possible to add every need to the product.
For example, I like to give tasks T-shirt sizes. And would like to sort my tasks by this. I am sure there are countless other examples out there.
I currently use labels; @short, @medium, @large, @xlarge.
What I would like to see is the ability to define a group of labels in a manual order (which in itself is a feature request in its own right). And then sort tasks on that label group using the order defined in the label group.
Hope that's clear.
Thank you for your suggestion. If you only use 4 "levels" for your tasks, you could try to use priorities instead. Each task has a default priority of 4, but you can change it to 1-3.
Priorities are always considered first in different views and even automatically sorted on date-based views so this could be an alternative worth exploring :)
Thanks for the suggestion though.
I am already using the priorities (for priority). I like to use the combination of size and priority depending on how much time I have at any moment to do something.
If I only have 20 minutes I can search for Small tasks that I can knock off quickly and sort them by priority or date to determine which ones to tackle first.
