Retrospective task completion

I'd like to start this suggestion by saying that I absolutely love ToDoist- Been using it for a month or two now, and it really helps keep on top of my life!
One thing that does bug me a little bit is that the software always assumes that you ticked the task off at the same time as you actually completed it in real life.
Whilst this is normally not a problem in the slightest, it does occasionally make the record of your productivity on ToDoist inaccurate.
The two instances where this happens are 1) working late at night/ early into the morning and 2) forgetting/not being able to tick the task off before midnight of that day.
Would it be possible to add a feature to let you say 'I did this on X day'?
I see that there are probably bigger and better changes for you to work on, but I think that this would be a nice touch.
Best wishes,

Henry's idea is a good one. Every time I look at Todoist in the morning and tick off something I did late the night before, there's a tiny twinge of "Ooh, there goes a Karma point or two." It's not a big deal, but, even without Karma, I'd feel more sense of accomplishment if I could tell Todoist "I did that yesterday."
