Undo for task completion

Hi!

Thank you for most convenient and efficient tool for managing task. It would be great if you could add one more feature like undo for operations on task completion and postponing same as you done for delete operation.

Thanks in advance

Paul

Hello Paul,

You can always undo the completion of a task. If it's single occurring, enter the project in which it was completed, click on the circular icon in the bottom-right and un-checking the boxes next to your completed tasks.

If the task is recurring or you postpone it, then you can still roll it back by editing its date and using a "starting" date. So, for instance, if you have a task due "every Saturday" and have completed or postponed it today so it moved to Sep, 28th, you can edit the date to "every Saturday starting 21. Sep 2013".

Best regards,
David

Hi David,

May be I've described feature not clear enough. I mean that it would cool to have the possibility to undo complete action in first 10 -15 seconds after you did it with no impact to my karma and changing of previous status of task.

For example. I have 1 completed task (it is a sub-task, so it is shown in my list of uncompleted tasks too). It was completed 2 weeks ago. And unfortunately I changed it's status to uncomplete.
If I have no feature I've mentioned above, re-completion of task would affect my today-karma and date of task completion.

Best regards,

Paul

Hi Paul,

How are you accessing Todoist, which browser, an extension? Normally when you complete a task, in the Today view or similar views, you do have the time it takes to refresh to un-complete that task, which is normally 10 seconds or more.

Uncompleting something this quick does not appear to affect the Karma system.

Thanks,
Brendon.

Hi Brendon,

I'm using chrome extension. I'm sure that you had considered the case I have described earlier, but may be it would be more clear for users if they could see such field with undo button as shown when you delete task?
