Make the Inbox optional so that users can choose to remove it from the projects list. Separately also allow the user to specify their own default project.

Another possible solution is to allow the Inbox to be moved to another position in the Project list, so as to allow something else to be at the top and become the defacto "default project"

Make inbox moveable, customizable, and disable-able! And allow us to set a "default" project that isn't necessarily the first in the list. Please!

I often use the inbox function, but it is bizarre to not allow users to set their own default project. It makes todoist much less friendly and useable. Please listen to feedback or I will have to choose alternative service that meets my needs.

You should be able to select your default inbox!

Being able to set a default project would be most helpful. Overall, I'd like to see more preferences to allow a more custom tailored experience, and this is a good example.

Better yet, allow us to remove Inbox. The whole point of using Todoist is to get things OUT of your Inbox.

Forcing bad ideas on your (paying) customers is... a bad idea.

Agreed on the setting a default project, or possibly allowing the renaming of Inbox.
