Separate scrolling for projects pane and list pane

I have a fairly long list of projects in the left pane. If I click on an item near the bottom, everything in both panes pops up to the top. But if I need to click on another item near the bottom, I have scroll back down.

Would it be possible to have the two panes scroll separately? That way I could click on an item near the bottom, the list would appear in the right pane (at the top of the list), but the left, projects pane wouldn't move.

This would be useful to me because I often examine the lists of each project in turn, and have a lot of scrolling to do when I get to items "below the fold."

Thanks for listening!

I totally agree. I have a huge list of projects with nested sub-projects, and changing from one project to a project one below it scrolls completely off the screen. I have to scroll back down to figure out where I was in my list of projects. Would be really terrific if the projects panel scrolled independently of the tasks panel!

Vote this up! It's an easy one!

Absolutely agree - I'm a new user, and this is the first thing I found myself wishing for. Hopefully this could be some low hanging fruit for the development team!

When I scroll tasks list down, and after that I want to select another project in tree, I need to scroll back tasks list up. Why???
The same thing in all email clients, for example, designed correctly. Even in Windows Explorer.
Please, fix it. It may be simple.

I think its *very* important requirement for users that has many tasks.

I don't understand how this doesn't get more votes. Essential in my opinion, maybe there's another request already for something similar? Oh well, it's really inefficient right now trying to move tasks into a project..

Fairly disappointed that this didn't get rolled into the ToDoist Next release. Most of the improvements in the new version are helpful, but this has been an annoyance for me for over a year. I can't imagine that it's hard to do, either... Ah well.

Agree, unless you work only with 3 proyects and 10 task.

This is A MUST if you have a lot of task and projects.

Another vote for this. Dragging between projects is very difficult when the projects scroll out of view (due to the two panes being tied together).

Hello Sergey,

It's already implemented in every desktop app, plugin, extension, add-on and on the web (as all connect to the web) :-)

Please try to log out and back in to see the changes.
