+ Add Suggestion

last Sunday every month

U

Just a suggestion for a handy recurring date feature.

This might be for "check the car", for example, where roughly monthly is fine but more importantly it has to be a weekend.

Another good one (especially for options traders) would be:

third Friday every month

Hello Simon,

Thank you very much for your suggestions, we appreciate your feedback and we'll consider adding such due date format in the future.

For now, please note that the second option you've mentioned is already available. You can use the "every third Friday" formula to set such task.

Best regards,
David

Great, thanks.

The "every third" feature would be good enough for most things but in the stock options example it is the 3rd Friday of each calendar month which is a little more tricky to get right, as the number of Fridays in between varies.

Another example: say you are having a regular project review meeting, it might make more sense to have it "first Monday every month" rather than "every fourth Monday".

Cheers,
Simon

Simon,

All these options are already available. If you don't want a task to be set to every third Friday of a month, but rather every three weeks on Friday, then you can use the "every 21 days starting Friday" formula.

If you want a task to recur on first Monday each month, you can set it to "every first Monday" (or short - "ev 1st Mon").

Best regards,
David

Oh, that's pefect. I didn't quite understand it first time round. Tested it agains options expiration calendar just to be sure. The "last" keyword isn't really important. Now that I understand recurring dates better, they are fine as they are.

Thanks for the explanation,

Simon
