BUG: Context menu of remains open when switching projects

AB

See title.
When opening the context menu of a task item (via gear icon on the right), then switching to a different project, the context menu will not close. If invoking the context menu again while the other one is open, two menus will appear. That's confusing and unprodcutive.

Hello Allan,

thank you for your report, I have passed it to the developers.

However, I can't reproduce the issue regarding - two boxed being open. If I open one context menu, switch to a different project, then it indeed stays open, but if I right-click on a task or use the gear-icon, the old context menu always closes.

Please tell me:
- Which browser are you using?
- Can you reproduce this issue in at least one different browser (if so - which one)?

Best regards,
David

I'm primarily using Google Chrome but also tested that bug with IE 9 and got the same issues.

The main problem is that the menu stays open when switching a project.

That the menu doesn't close anymore after invoking a new menu, is in my opinion just a smaller issue since it's only caused through the first problem.

Thanks for the prompt support!

Best,
Allan

Hello Allan,

This issue has been fixed in the latest update of Todoist. The context menu will now disappear upon changing projects.

David

Hello David,

I've just noticed that. Great!

Though the same problem appears with the context menu beside the project title (not in the project list but in the task view). When opening that context menu and switching to a different project, the context menu remains open.

Probably requires the same error handling as the bug with the task based context menus.

Best,
Allan

Allan,

Thank you for the information, we will investigate this issue.

Please note that unlike the task menu bug, the behavior of the "Task actions" menu at the top always carries over to the current project which means that even if you change the project, you'll be able to quickly sort it using this menu and the correct project will be sorted (the one you're currently viewing).

Best regards,
David
