Hide a task till a certain date

P

So I don't forget, sometimes I add a task with due in several months for example. I need this task to be hidden and then be shown on a certain date.

I often work ahead in my to do list, and it would be great if I could have some tasks hidden that cannot be done yet. So I'd love to able to set a due date (when it needs to be done) and a start date (earliest it can be done, and when it becomes visible).

Yes! As an example, I have many tasks that I do once a year and I simply do not want to see them in my list all year round.

The due date on tasks gets highlighted in yellow starting the week before it's due. How about an option to hide all tasks that are more than a week away from their due dates?

Yes! Or, if not hidden, greyed. There are just tasks which can't be *started until a certain date or time.

The option of setting a start date would be really helpful, as some of my tasks can't, in fact, be started until a certain date arrives. In addition, an option to choose when the greyed-out or hidden task becomes visible would also be handy (e.g. 1 month before, 2 weeks before, 7 days before...).

I'm new to ToDoist (Astrid refugee) but this is a big need for me to fully engage with it. Beyond that, I'm super impressed with the program.

I think this can be achieved using the "Start date feature" which has more votes https://todoist.com/Vote/showProposal/415/

Thank you, Alex. Much agreed.

I would love this feature. What I want to hide most are routine events that are done once every week. I don't need to see them in my view, I just need to know the day of.
