Let us add new tasks from Today/This Week view
If allow us to set a default project in Preferences, then you could make it possible to add new tasks directly from the main viewing modes (Today, This Week, search results, etc.) -- it would be added to the default project (which could function as a kind of inbox).
This would allow much faster adding of projects on the fly, which could be sorted among projects later (especially if you add drag-and-drop capability!).
this feature has been implemented today. You can now add a task using the "Quick Task Add" feature in any view.
To do so, you can either click on the "+" icon in the top-right corner (between "Help and reference" and the "Completed tasks" list) or use the keyboard shortcut which is: Ctrl+Q
