I find the current ordering quite confusing, and really like Martin's suggestion. Can I add an option? I'd appreciate being able to go to settings and choose whether or not to have the order displayed in ascending or descending order by date (e.g. from most overdue to current, AND vice versa). This goes for new tasks being added to lists as well (i.e. being able to choose whether new items are added to the bottom of a list, or the top).

I think I can understand the motivation behind the odd ordering. But this should be only optional. Most systems treat overdue the same, no matter how long they are overdue. That is simply because the systems should help _not_ to have any overdue tasks anymore. So any rating between "overdue a bit" and "overdue 3 decades" is quite silly as you have to review them all anyway if you are doing GTD (or other systems) seriously.

This will help a lot to see old task with a proper ordering.

Agreed. I was out on vacation and am getting back to my todo list, and realized a lot of my scheduled items "disappeared" because they were more than 5 days old they're appearing below my very long list of nodate items.

I expect my overdue items to appear in reverse chronological order from the oldest to the least old. If people have too many overdue tasks appearing at the top of the list, they need to learn to be better about allocating tasks to dates.

What I would like is "today" on top, "yesterday" underneath, and then the rest in chronological order below that. This (optional) setting would just meet my needs.

Agree with Hugo's suggestion. Personally, I find the present ordering quite distracting and actually counter productive.

I agree, the current ordering is confusing, makes it actually harder than easier and makes no sense to me at all. We humans like order :)

Hello,

This change has now been implemented. All overdue tasks are now displayed from most overdue at the top towards the lease overdue at the bottom with no splitting into groups.

Best regards,
David
