iPad version drop date?

Q1 2013 is over in just a few days. Are you planning on announcing the drop date before the ipad version release, or just handing it to us on March 31? As an aside, if the app hasn't been submitted to the App Store already, you're probably not going to get approval before the date you said the app would be available.

Hello David,

We're working on it every day, we're almost there, but it's very difficult to set release dates if the primary goal is to create a great app that will meet both our and all our customers' expectations.

We can't promise if the app will be available at the store on March 31st, but we can promise that it will be a great app worth waiting for.

Hello Ram,

It is possible that we may contact our past beta testers, but we may publish the app after internal beta testing (there are many limitations to beta testing on iOS).

Hi Mark,

As David said above, we do not like to set release dates on our products since our main goal is to create the best app possible for everyone.

Again, it will be worth the wait :) It's getting close!

Hmm...I would rather have a good app later than a crappy app now. However, you guys set an expectation of 3/31/13, so people are looking for a new target date. I think it's reasonable to ask for it. I personally am checking the Apple Store every so often for it, and I'd rather know when to do that.

We're sorry that we couldn't meet the deadline of the first quarter, but again - we don't want to release an unfinished app or one in which we know that has some bugs glitches on day 1. It's almost finished, but giving you any date at this point would be a guess especially since any iOS app must pass Apple's approval and this alone can influence the release date by an unknown timeframe.

If you didn't opt out of our newsletters in Todoist's Settings -> Account, you will be notified via email about the release. Furthermore, we'll announce it on all our social media pages (Facebook, Google+, Twitter) and on our blog.
