Hello Harun,

Thank you for your report, I've passed this issue to the developers and we'll try to fix this issue in next updates of our app.

For now, please try to use the back icon in the top-left corner (the TD logo) to navigate back in our app.

Best regards,
David

Harum,

Please tell me - in which view are you when you use the "back" button? The main way to navigate our app is the "up" button in the top-left corner, but if you're editing a task, you can also use the hardware "back" button on your phone to get back to the home view, if you use back again, the app will indeed close.

David

Hi this problem also exists for me. I'm using an HTC one X, jelly bean ROM.
It's quite frustrating as in most apps the back button will return you to the home screen of the app but this one takes me out of whatever project/label/task that I'm in straight to my launcher home. This is very unproductive for a productivity app. I find myself always having to relaunch the app.
Besides that I really like the todoist ecosystem, it works really well for me and I'm a premium user. Just wish you could identify/fix this one problem.
Thanks.

Hello,

Our app follows the official Android guidelines: http://developer.android.com/design/patterns/navigation.html

When you open our app and try to edit a task or add a note to a task, the hardware back button should go one step back to the project or date view. If you press it again in this view, it will go back to the home screen as these two views (project list and task list inside a project or a "today" view) are the same screen within the app which is our first "home" screen.

Please clarify - do you get to Android's home screen also from within the task edit screen?

David

Yes sorry to clarify:
I get back to the todoist 'today' screen for instance, when pressing back from a task. The problem comes when I press back again. I would expect that to take me back to the todoist home screen but it takes me back to Android home.
Thanks.

Thank you for the clarification. We will look into the possibility of treating the left "Projects" pane as a primary page so that the back button will show it when you're viewing the right pane with a project or date content.

Best regards,
David
