Unable to login
Under advisement from todoist to fix a widget error, I reinstalled the app and restarted my phone. I am now unable to login, I did not previously have login issues until now.
Error is: "An unknown error occured, please wait a few seconds and try again."
Nexus 4.2.2 stock rom, on WIFI connection. My laptop is also on the same WIFI connection and is able to log in fine.

I restarted the phone several times, and have tried to login a multitude of times. I guess I will try a different network later.

Okay, finally able to login. Probably just a hiccup with the login servers somewhere.
I can confirm on our end that there shouldn't be any login/authorization issues right now, however this may explain the issue with the widget going blank. If you were logged in already, but are in a network that may cause some logging issue, the widget could want to authorize/sync something, but couldn't.
Either way, please tell me - are you logging in using your Google account or by typing in the email.password directly? In the first case, try to log in through your laptop, go to Settings -> Account, use "Edit" in the "Password" section and set a password for Todoist. Now, in addition to the Google Login, you'll be able to manually use your Gmail address with the newly set password to try to log in manually and see if it helps.
No I'm having the same issue:
1. I've installed the app from the Play store.
2. Trying to login (regular account; not google) results with the message: "An unknown error occured, please wait a few seconds and try again."
Tried several times & verified that my password is correct.
What can I do?

Annnddd mine is also having problems logging in again, this time I am on my work WIFI. No problems logging in via other means. Hey Ark, do you happen to have any power/data management apps running?
I have "Power Toggles" running.

We are un-able to reproduce this issue. We have started to see some related connectivity issues though, and are looking into it.
If you both are willing and able to disable these apps to test to see if they are causing issues, it would be appreciated.
I can confirm that there are no issues on our end.
Clearing the Data for Todoist, and re-starting the phone is always worth a shot, so please give that a try as well.

I am currently connected to my work wifi, very stable business connection. Completely different routing than the network I was on yesterday.
Login attempt 1/2/3 times via direct login.
Failed 3 times
Login attempt 1/2/3 times via google login.
Failed 3 times
confirmed Batteryguru still disabled (it was)
Login attempt 1 via Google login.
Login attempt 1 via direct login.
It seems to me that something is putting Todoist in some sort of connecting limbo and a restart seems to fix it, possibly the third party app regulating it's sync schedule. The periodic login issues are likely related to my widget troubles.
I would suggest leaving it un-installed for awhile if you can, I know you want to use your app. If left un-installed and it continues to work without issue, after re-starts, and other daily tasks, then we know for sure that these types of apps are causing issues.
We will continue to work on this issue and hopefully find a solution soon.

I have the same problem from today.
google acc and email login both failed.
It stopped to sync, I logged out and can't login.
I can login on website at home. But using the same net, it failed on my mobile.
Thanks everyone. We are now very aware of this issue and are looking into it. We hope to find a solution very soon.
As a workaround, re-installing the app seems to work. If it does not, it seems to be almost random connection failures, waiting a bit of time and it will continue to work.

I've tried reinstalling earlier and it didn't help. Now I did this:
- uninstall todoist,
- restart phone,
- install todoist,
- log in with google account (failed! same error as before),
- log in with e-mail (success!),
- log out,
- log in with google account (success!)
It also started to sync.
Looks random, but maybe it's not?

I'd like to report that it has been about 20 hours without my battery management app activated. I am still experiencing the same login issues on multiple networks, even right after re-installing the app.
