Automatic sorting into a project ?
In a Project view, tasks are never automatically sorted by priority/date, it's all manual sorting (not like in all the other view, even the Tag view, where it's auto-sorted).
Are you planning to change that in the near future, or is it something you don't want to change ?

The Android app is synced with the web version of Todoist, so any changes you make on Todoist show up on the app.
On the web version, when on a Project view you can click the gear icon and choose "sort by name" "sort by priority" or "sort by date". When you do this, the changes are reflected on the Android app.
It's possible how this works will change in the future, in terms of automatic, but no plans at the moment.
Please, reconsider this problem again. The fact that Android app doesn't automatically sort the tasks by date/priority is extremely annoying. Each time I add something to a project via Android app, the sorting order in my whole Todoist breaks, because the app doesn't sort things by date and it syncs this unsorted way to the web. Extremely annoying. Please, fix it. It shouldn't be that difficult to do, I imagine, since 7 days view already sorts itself automatically by date.
Thank you for your reply. Have to admit, the speed with which you guys answer your users was one of the reasons I switched over from Remember the Milk with their total ignoring of the users' questions/requests/etc.
However, excellent support cannot compensate for the lack of some basic things, I'm afraid. And while I can somewhat live with being unable to set actual monthly and yearly repeats, this lack of automatic sorting is ridiculous.
Currently, whenever I add anything, the sorting order breaks. Always. The choice doesn't stick. So, each time I add anything I have to re-sort the list manually, no matter where (web, Android app etc.) the changes were made.
I followed the link and voted for the feature. However, I don't really think you will be implementing something with 32 votes to support the request. :D
Somewhere around November I will be buying a subscription, because I will be needing some premium functions. And I really am at a huge loss about which of the two services to choose. :) Sadly, both have roughly the same amount of serious drawbacks. Only in your case they are either unfixable (quick codes for formatting tasks) or rather unexpected (no correct monthly/yearly repeats, no automatic sorting). *sigh*

Regarding monthly and yearly repeats - both are available. If your task should repeat on every 25th day of a month, simply type "every 25" within the date field. If it should repeat each year on November 10th, use the date "every 10 Nov".
As for sorting - if you're on the date-based view, tasks there are resorted automatically by:
in this order. If you change the order of timed tasks, they will get back to their positions as they can't be reordered on this view. Others should work.
Inside projects, however you change the order, the new one will stay exactly as you left it on every platform. On the web, you can click on the icon at the top of your task list and choose "sort by priority" or "by name" or "by date". You can also use keyboard shortcuts - "p" to sort by priority and "s" to sort by date.
As for automatic sorting - even though there aren't many votes there, it's the Android Votebox which has fewer votes in general and we don't only consider votes when we add features, but to clarify - this would include the sort by date, time or priority options to projects, we're not planning to implement full automatic sorting right now because this would make it very difficult to use our app with sub-tasks. Many users wouldn't want to have their tasks sorted right-away without their choice as they build task structures and the tasks must stay as they enter them.
Thanks for the hint on monthly and yearly repeats! :) Entering "monthly" or "yearly" does not give correct repeats, but this looks like a sensible way around. I will have to remember it, thanks.
As for automatic sorting, I didn't mean forcing it on everyone. Although, if sub-tasks have due dates, then they're probably supposed to be completed in chronological order. Or something. :)
I suggest there be a setting, that would allow for automatic sorting. Something like Windows OS' sorting of the files' icons on its desktop. :) A checkbox or something, that would allow to reorder tasks automatically in case it's activated. This way everybody will probably be happy. :)
P.S. - Why did Todoist decide to use @ for entering labels and not #? :) Just curious. :)
