Android data update
So, I've been having this problem with the Android application for some time, and just wanted to collect more data and be sure I was getting consistent results before bugging support.
The Android application "update spinner" (in the upper-right hand corner) seems to spin near-continuously for me; also, it seems that updating tasks (e.g.: marking a task "done") doesn't update the view.
There is moderate success in marking a task "done," waiting for perhaps ten minutes, going back to another query ("Today"). This synchronization doesn't seem to actually reflect the data, however, in the Web side (so it's probably not being recorded).
Sorry to bug, but this is making the Android application essentially unusable, and there don't seem to be any options to change update frequency or settings... or clear data, restart and kill the app, etc.
Thanks much for your time.

Another note: in at least one test, shutting down the entire Android device did cause the system to at least update one task to "done" on the Web side. (It may be possible that the clean shutdown code could be forcing a synchronization that's not running normally.)
We're sorry to hear that. These kind of issues might have been present in older versions of our app. Please tell me - are you certain that you're using the latest version 1.0.5?
Even if you do, to make sure it hasn't been installed while there was corrupted cache from an older version, please go to Android's Settings -> Apps, first clear Todoist's cache, then uninstall it and then reinstall the latest version from the Play Store and let us know if the issue persists.
If it does, please tell me:
- What phone and what version of Android are you using?
- How many tasks do you have on your account (approximately)?
- Are you always online and have a stable connection when this issue occurs?
Also, Did you wait for the spinner to fully complete the initial sync as you've used our app for the first time? If you have many tasks, the first sync might take even 30 seconds, but after that each change should be synchronized within a second.
