Hello,

so far there are only a couple of 3rd party solutions on the app store. We are already working on our own Todoist app for the iPad and will release it in the future.

Thank you for input.

David

David,
are there any ipad specific solutions?
I only saw CheckIt! and Doings, but they are iphone apps and don't scale nicely to ipad.

Do you have any timeline as to when you planning to release the ipad app?

on Jun 13, 2011 - 06:34

Hello Alex,

we will release an iPad app very soon, probably within the next couple of weeks.

on Jul 15, 2011 - 08:38

Hi all

We are still working on this, but will present something soon - probably in the begning of the next week. Please note that our mobile offerings are work in progress and something that we will work on many months forward.

Best regards,
Amir

I started checking this thread daily after reading Amir's last post; can't wait to rock the Todoist iPad app! :o)

So, will you please update this thread when the app is released? I think anyone who has participated here will get an email update, right? That'd be really great!

Todoist is brilliant! Keep up the fantastic work!

on Jul 24, 2011 - 17:58

I really hope the iPad app would be released soon :)

on Aug 01, 2011 - 17:29

Same here. The site is useless on the iPad.

on Aug 10, 2011 - 05:13

Please release an iPad app! It's desperately needed... I check this site weekly for updates!

on Aug 19, 2011 - 15:32

Keen as for the iPad app. I really do not want to change from todoist but need an iPad app to manage.

on Aug 20, 2011 - 02:37

Any news on the iPad app. Patiently waiting for its arrival.

How long is a week for the Todoist developpers?

on Sep 06, 2011 - 10:26

In 1 week I'll switch to another task manager which has an iPad client. Not 1 Todoist week, but 1 normal week.

on Sep 06, 2011 - 11:00

I'm agree with Gergo. It was a good aplication but It's a shame lack of upgrade

on Oct 22, 2011 - 17:58

I loved Todoist but unfortunately had to switch to Toodledo because of the lack of iPad/iPhone support. In this day and age, you can't have a functional to-do manager without a good mobile app!

on Oct 22, 2011 - 20:05

Ditto ... Sean
I think the most unfortunate part is the response by Todoist about an iPad app. They almost perceive it as a non issue. If they provided some info about their goals in this respect and a timeline. Something! Like you - I have switched to Toodledo and find it exceptional.

Hello,

we're very sorry for the delay. Please note that the development of Todoist Mobile apps is currently our top-priority with most resources put into it.

As mentioned on Twitter: http://twitter.com/#!/todoist/status/124268944814116864/photo/1 both - the mobile and the tablet versions are underway. Unfortunately, we can't give you any particular release date. We want to provide the best quality and functionality of our mobile applications and any improvements, bug fixes etc. take time and can cause delays.

Best regards,
David

Perhaps an additional link at the bottom of the Todoist page - beside the Todoist Support Link
that would tell people what is happening. Presuming they are following you on twitter or necessarily following within this section is an error. However updates and status reports can be found where the About Us, Support Link etc is located - and indicate that it is 'What's New' or 'Where We Are Going'
That might help 'everyone' know what is going on since that is the main entry page for us all.

Hello,

We are pleased to announce that the Todoist Mobile application for iOS is now available at the App Store: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/todoist/id476672770?ls=1&mt=8

It can be downloaded for FREE. It's compatible with iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad (requires iOS 3.0 or later). Beside all standard Todoist's features, Todoist for iOS also includes OFFLINE SYNC.

We will soon release the Android version as well and will notify you once it's been published.

Thank you for your patience and continued support, we hope this App will increase your productivity and provide a great extension for Todoist's functionality which we will continue to develop according to your suggestions and feature requests posted in our Votebox: http://todoist.com/Vote/

If you have any questions or suggestions for the improvement of this App or experience any issues with it, please post them in this thread: http://todoist.com/Support/showQuestion/720/
We appreciate any feedback.

Rejoice! The mobile app now makes ToDoist the only productivity app I'll use, because it has subtasks, it's free, and it has mobile integration for my ipad (and soon my android phone), my Mac desktop, and Web. At long last, a productivity app has offered me the full package of things I want.

Hello Amanda,

Our current iOS will very soon be replaced with our brand new native iPhone app which can also be used on an iPad. For now, as a workaround, you can access Todoist through http://todoist.com/m

Normally I would be happy to hear this, but after reading past threads where people were strung along for months at a time, I am very skeptical and am not at all getting my hopes up. When it's released I'll happily take a look - until then it would be better if you just left the old app in the store and didn't talk about it until it's ready to go.

The fact that it's an iPhone app makes me wonder: will it be stretched on an iPad, or will it actually support it properly?

Thanks in advance,
Amanda

Amanda,

We're sorry for the delays of the launch of this app. It's already being reviewed by Apple so it's done and should be out very soon.

On an iPad, it will work as "an iPhone app", but we will also release a dedicated iPad app soon after the launch of the iPhone app.

Best regards,
David

The experience of using an iPhone app in an iPad really sucks. Hope you guys could release the native iPad version soon, maybe as a Christmas gift for all of us. Still with hope.

on Dec 02, 2012 - 00:18

Hello Christian,

We're doing our best to release an iPad app as soon as we can.

For now, you could try to use the full web-version of Todoist on your iPad through this link: http://todoist.com/m/forceRegular

David Trey - it was June 13,2011 when you said we are already working on an iPad app and will release it soon, possibly in two to three weeks. The iPhone app you release deserves a lot of praise, but it is terrible for the iPad. That is a shame because your product as a whole is an excellent. You really should rectify this as soon as possible - it reflects poorly on the application.

As far as third party apps, people can use Allegheny - which does almost everything the native iPhone ToDoist app does except add tags and sort by tags (although you can add your tags manually by using the @ sign).

on Jan 01, 2013 - 13:32

Hello Donald,

We're very sorry for the delays, since June, we've completely redesigned the iOS app starting from scratch which resulted in the release of the iPhone app. We are currently working on a dedicated iPad app based on the new version of our iPhone app.

Best regards,
David
