Hello,
you can add a line break using Ctrl+N or Ctrl+M.
You can find a list of all available keyboard shortcuts here:

I stopped using Ctrl+N in favor of Ctrl+M because Ctrl+N was opening a new browser window (its regular function in Firefox). Now Ctrl+M has stopped working. Using Firefox v14.0.1.

Hello Jon,
due to some complications, this feature has been removed in our latest version of Todoist.
In order to describe your task with additional information, you can format the text (bold, italic, underlined, highlighted - Ctrl+B, Ctrl+I, Ctrl+U or Ctrl+Y) or, with Todoist Premium, add as much text (with line breaks) into task notes.
You can still add the <br> tag within a task bane to break a line, though.
Best regards,
David

I am VERY displeased that this feature has been removed. I relied upon it heavily for project lists. I have also used the indent feature, but frankly I ran into several problems with that and went "backward" (I felt) to using the more old school asterisk/line break strategy. And now this is gone.
I am still, after about three weeks (I think) trying to use and tweak my Todoist every day. But as much as I want it to work, I continue to run into problems - some of which I have shared here (and thanks, David). I want to purchase the Premium version, but I refuse to do so until I can be certain that the features and there and that it works for my particular needs. I'm nearing the point where I might have to accept that I've wasted some time and move on to a new task manager.
Can you offer any hopeful words about what your new version will fix, when it will be available, etc.? I just don't have the time for the surprise failures that have become such a big part of my experience with you.

Hello,
we're very sorry for any inconvenience you've experienced with Todoist. We're putting a lot of work to provide the best user experience using the latest technology, but with that comes a risk of issues/glitches happening in the process. We are trying to fix them all as soon as we can.
We will implement the line breaking function soon.
Best regards,
David
