Todoist Tasks Visible to IT in Outlook?
I have been using Todolist to manage my personal tasks for a few months and would like to start using it for work. For work, I have installed the Outlook addon. My question is whether my IT department can view the Todoist tasks somehow through Outlook? I don't care if they viewed my work tasks, but don't want them viewing my personal tasks. The obvious solution would be to make a separate work Todoist account. Though, ideally I would rather have one account with different projects for my personal and work items.

unfortunately, only your IT department can answer this question.
The Todoist for Outlook plugin uses Internet Explorer to connect to the Todoist website, but whether your IT department can monitor your internet/intranet activity depends on their structure and the privacy rules of your workplace.
Technically, an IT department may be able to see everything you see on your monitor and even take control of your computer remotely, but as I've said, how far they are allowed to monitor your work depends on their rules.
The best solution would be indeed creating 2 Todoist accounts and never signing into your private account at work.

Thank you for the response. I am not really concerned about them monitoring my internet activity or remoting into my computer. I was more concerned that the Todoist tasks in the Outlook addon were somehow routed through the Exchange Server and were archieved/viewable there. It sounds like this is not the case.
in that case - no, your tasks will not be stored locally. All tasks are fetched from our servers and the add-in basically works like a mini-browser window.
In future development, we're planning to introduce offline storage using HTML5 capabilities which may actually store a data file in your browser's cache, but it's currently work in progress.
