we are currently working on our native Todoist Mobile app which will provide many Todoist features and we may indeed add an Android widget in future development as well.

I'd agree. While it is great to have the full app, I think the original request is for a Widget that is always opened on the screen and displays your current tasks. Other apps have this ability.

As a side note, setting a "Default Project" for the android app would be useful, as I don't use "tasks for today"

I agree with widget request! I very like todoist web app but I'm sorry that I can't one-time buy pro version of Android todoist with tag search feature. I have to buy premium plan for it.

I'm try to use Astrid, but I don't like it to much (but is very fast developed so is a hope).
