How do I control the order of tasks?
I like to order my tasks based on what needs to happen next for the day. But it seems like if I look at a different project or add a new task and a different day shows up then go back to "today" the order sometimes changes. Is there some way to control the order?

If you reorder tasks within a project, then it should never change when you leave this view and get back to it. If it does, please tell me:
- What browser are you using?
- Can you reproduce this issue in a different browser?
- Are you closing the app instantly after reordering a task before it syncs the change?
I'm using Chrome. Not sure if it does it in another browser as this is the only browser I use.
I'm not so concerned with it on my phone using the app. I don't use it that often.
So, now I'm trying to recreate it and I can't. I'll watch it more closely and let you know what I see. :) Thanks!
David, I'm reordering tasks. Last night I set out my tasks in order for today (what was "tomorrow" yesterday) and now they are rearranged! Yikes!
Here's what I did:
I put all my tasks for "tomorrow" in order of how they needed to flow today. Shut my laptop and went to sleep. This morning, while at a meeting, I added a few tasks from my Android phone. When I opened my laptop and went to look at my day in Todoist, the tasks for today are out of order. :(
I'll try it again and see what happens.
Please note that if you're reordering tasks on the "today" or any other date-based search result page, if some of them have due times (like "today at 2pm", for example), these tasks will always be displayed at the top and ordered by time.
The rest, that is tasks without times or even a priority, should remain in order. We've had reports of this issue in the past, but unfortunately after thorough investigation of all the code that's responsible for the order of tasks and countless tests, we could not reproduce this issue. That said, can you remember if, how and when did this started to happen for the first time? Was there any specific action that you could suspect as the one after which this issue started to occur?
Unfortunately, without knowing what triggers it, we can't identify this issue :(
