Filter priority 1 tasks not due within 7 days?
I would like to make a start page which shows my tasks due within 7 days, and then show all my priority 1tasks which are not due within seven days.
I have tried making this filter "7 days, (p1 !7 days)" but this does not seem to work.

Please always use boolean operators for complex queries so, for example, use "p1 & !7 days" within the query.
However, in this case this won't work, but it is possible to achieve what you want. The correct query to view all tasks due within 7 days and then all priority 1 tasks that are not due within next 7 days will be:
"7 days, (p1 & !+1 & !+2 & !+3 & !+4 & !+5 & !+6 & !+7)"
Technically, you could exclude certain days such as !mon & !tue, but if you want to exclude the next 7 days, this wouldn't work as every day you'd have to adjust the query, that's why you need to use the +1, +2 etc. syntax. When adding a task, you can also use +3 to set it 3 days from now, therefore this can be used to exclude 1 days from now, 2 days from now, and so on.
Thanks a lot for your quick response. You query works fine. Only minor aesthetic downside is that the header for the p1 tasks on my startpage is "Priority 1 & - & - & - & - & - & - & -".
I guess I should ask in the votebox for the possibity to name custom searches and to show those names as headers in the searchresult views .
Thanks again, Mark
