Problem with sync of tasks, which has been marked as completed in the Android App
I have the following problem. When I finish a task in the Chrome app this task will be crossed out and the text colour changes to light grey.
But if I finish a task in the Android app and sync it this finished task is not visible in the Chrome app. I would expect that if I finish a task in the Android app it is still visible in the Chrome app as a crossed out text in light grey.

Has the Completed Task been moved to your History? This should be visible in your Chrome app by selecting the Project to which the Task was assigned and clicking the 'Get completed tasks' links at the bottom of the right hand pane.
When you finish a Task in the Chrome app does the task not move to History when the display refreshes?
I just tested it and I can specify it a little bit. It seems that there is a difference between a main task and a sub-task.
If I finish a main task in the chrome app (and the Android app) it become crossed out and grey and it moves to the bottom of the list. It's visible until I refresh the page. This was the use case I described above, the only difference was that I completed the task on Android.
If I finish a sub-task in the Chrome/ Android app it become crossed out and grey and it doesn't change its position even if I refresh the page. That means a completed sub-task doesn't move to the history.
I'm not sure if this behaviour is by intend. I would prefer that sub-tasks also move to the history, unless I click on "get completed task", because the current procedure confuses me. But I can live with it. It's not a big issue for me.
PS: Many thanks for the incredible fast reply!!
This is intended. Sub-tasks are smaller steps of a main (parent) task so you can see which parts of the main task have been completed and which are still to do. When you check off its parent tasks then all these sub-task will be removed from the active list.
Nonetheless, when you use Todoist through the web or through the Chrome plugin, you can hold the SHIFT key while you check off a sub-task to force it to move to the history. You can also right-click on any task and complete it using the "Move to history" option.
