I have one overdue task due yesterday—why did I lose 3 karma points for having tasks that are 3+ days overdue?
Yesterday, I had several tasks that were 9 days overdue, but I have since completed some and postponed the unfinished ones so that I have no tasks >3 days overdue. Do we lose points for tasks that are one day overdue?

I discovered the problem in my daily digest: there is one task that my digest thinks is 10 days overdue, yet does not appear in my todo list as such since I removed the due date several days ago. It seems what I see is not entirely in sync with your records. How do I fix that?
Our Karma system is very complex and is updated multiple times a day (and at different times) so it is possible that at some point, a task has been calculated as overdue and included in the next Karma update while the update happened at the point where this task was no longer overdue.
There are much more ways to earn Karma than to lose it and we're sure you'll get a lot of Karma in the long-term and some postponing or overdue tasks will not reduce it that much :)
I have two tasks that my digest thinks are overdue, and that do not show up on my 'today' list in the website. One is a recurring task I edited, one shows up on my 'completed' list. I do not know what caused this glitch, but it's been ongoing for three days now.
Please tell me:
- Do you have the same time zone set in Todoist's Settings as on your computer?
- Did you travel between timezones lately without adjusting the zone in Todoist's Settings (and changed tasks while in the other time zone?
- If you have tasks with due times, are these times also displayed incorrectly? If so - how much off are they?
-Yes, both my computer and todoist are set to US EST. I haven't changed time zones in the past few months. I do not use due times, as I generally don't need them.
Here is the plain text from my digest email:
2 TASKS OVERDUE
3 day(s) ago, Mar 29, 2013
2 day(s) ago, Mar 30, 2013
Status report (recurring weekly)
Hope that helps,
Please clarify - are both due dates actually incorrect? Today is March 31st so the task "2 days ago" should not point to "March 30".
Also, please use the task search option and look for "q: Print" and then "q: Status" to confirm the status of both tasks, make sure that there aren't other tasks with these names and let me know what due date do you see on the web-app for these tasks.
Yes, both due dates are incorrect. I finished printing on Thursday and checked it off and changed the date on the status report to today (Sunday). Upon doing the query I did find both of them, though they did not show up when I clicked my 'view today's items' link. I now have the 'print article' item showing as checked off twice in my completed items list.
That seems to have resolved it, but it still seems quite strange to me.
